It’s been quite a while since I’ve done an Instagram Round Up, and I know we are all busy with tons of people to follow so thought I’d share everything here from September–the outfits at least! I used to do a monthly recap way back in the day, and I know you all liked those.
If you’re a fan of these types of posts, let me know in today’s poll on Instastories and I’ll keep them up each month.
Also, before we jump into the post, I wanted to touch on the little circle-around-the-heart symbol in the bottom right corner on the photo above. If you’re already familiar with LiketoKnow. It, feel free to skip this next part.
Essentially, LiketoKnow. It is a tool that Bloggers use to help you shop the looks they are wearing by tagging the photo in the backend. On Instagram, anytime you see either the icon or the trio of a link + #liketkit + @liketoknow.it, that means the photo has been enabled to shop. If you are signed up for LiketoKnow. It (which is a free program), anytime you like a photo, you are emailed the details of the items worn. From there you can click each item individually and be redirected to where the item can be purchased.
Alternatively, if you have the LiketoKnow. It app (also free), you can like or screenshot the photos and they will show up in your app, plus give you the details there, where again you can click and be redirected to the retailer to shop the items.
Personally I use this all the time (I like the emails, but the app is super easy when you’re on the go) to see where people purchase their items and in turn where I, too, can find new pieces. I know some people aren’t familiar with this, which is why I wanted to outline in case it’s helpful. It should be noted that if you do make a purchase, a small percent of the sale goes to that Blogger–think of it as a sales person in a retail store helping you find something you truly love. The retailer pays this small fee, and there is no charge to the buyer, it’s just a small way for Bloggers to get compensated for all the free content they create and share.
All that to say, if you ever see me (or anyone for that matter) wearing something you like and want to know where it’s from, this is an easy way to do so on social media without waiting for someone to respond to a DM, etc. Let me know if you have any questions, I always respond on IG so message me there 🙂
