Hey ladies, hope you all had a happy and safe Canada Day weekend or Fourth of July. There are still some great sales happening online, so if you missed yesterday’s post, you can find it here. The weekend around these parts was part productive, part relaxing, and part social.
On Friday night, I headed home from work, poured myself a glass of wine and made dinner. I cooked up a red pesto chicken pasta for Marco, and had a kale salad for myself.
The new BBQ!
Marco spent Friday night putting this beast together–so excited to have a deck, which is just about finished, and be able to cook outside (and also share some cooking duties–ahem, for him!).
On Saturday I spent the entire day filming and then edited my new Budget Friendly Summer Try-On Haul video. Super excited to get back into videos and share even more with you girls.
Taking a lunch break between filming.
On Sunday, we hit up the gym and then grabbed brunch at The Barley Mow, a fave spot.
Afterwards we ran some errands and relaxed at home–the weather was pretty much rain all weekend, which really put a damper on things… pun intended, totally, because I’m not usually punny, so I need to take advantage that this one just came to me.
And finally, we ended the weekend on a high note with a BBQ on Monday evening with a small group of friends. Our deck was finished that morning (I say finished, but just needs one more coat of paint) and we BBQ’ed sausages and burgers, there was a mix of salads and the drinks were flowing. A wonderful way to end the long weekend and kick off the summer.
