Good morning & apologies for the delay in the Weekend Snaps. After editing these photos on Sunday night, I got so sick and have been bed ridden ever since. I’m writing from bed, but actually able to function a little more today, which is a mass improvement from sleeping on and off all day on Monday.
We had a great weekend, and headed up to Tremblant on Friday night for a getaway with friends. We shared a cottage rental just outside the village and it was such a cute place! We arrived late, had some drinks and chats, played Taboo and headed off to bed.
The next morning…
…suited up and headed out to hit the hill! Three of us skied while the other three stayed back; one was sick and the two other girls don’t ski.
The temperatures were beautiful, in comparison to the last few times we’ve been, but the snow was a little choppy. We had a really great afternoon though.
We got home and took a nap before tucking into a family feast of spaghetti, garlic bread and Ceasar salad.
We spent the evening playing games, snacking on chips, liquorice and chocolate covered almonds. The cottage was super homey, clean and comfortable for six people. Loved using the wood burning fireplace that night.
The next morning, we made breakfast for everyone before packing up and heading back home to the city. The cottage was a slightly different rental as you had to self-clean before leaving, which meant all the bedsheets, the bathrooms, towels, floors, etc. For the price, it was a great deal, but the downfall was wanting to hit the road and having to wait on the washer and dryer to finish.
I know what everyone says about Uggs, but I love mine. I’ve bought two pairs, and these ones are the first pair I ever bought–over seven years ago! I religiously sprayed them multiple times per year, when I would wear them way more often, and they have held up so well. I know people say they take a beating, but if you take care of them, they will last you.
We got home and unpacked, relaxed and hung out. We clearly didn’t get our pasta fix because we were both craving it still, so we picked up some ingredients on the way back and Marco made spaghetti for dinner.
Hope you all had a great weekend xo
