On Friday I got a special post-Christmas purchase I made for myself online. I picked up this bias cut cami which I already own in olive green and love (also, it’s sticking to my New Years Resolutions because it’s 100% silk).
When I got home I whipped up some of my favourite two-ingredient pancakes but added a scoop of vanilla protein to it (I alternate between doing that and not) to tide me over till dinner.
Marco and I went out for an impromptu dinner to The Keg Manor which was delicious and your girl cannot pass up a good cocktail so a Keg sized Caesar it was.

On Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed up to Mont. Tremblant to spend the weekend. When we arrived, we got a complimentary upgrade to the Westin, which is arguably the nicest hotel in the village! We were stoked and the above was our view from the 5th floor.
We got a few runs in on Saturday and then we…
…hit up our favourite spot, La Forge, for chili in a bread bowl for me and duck wings and fries for him.
Afterwards it was back to the room to nap and relax for a bit before hitting the hot tub and then out for a super late dinner at 11pm.
We ended up at Casey’s because everywhere else was closed, kitchen-wise. I had the chicken taco salad and Marco had the rotisserie quarter chicken meal.
The next day, after a tip from a few people we met in the hot tub the night before, we got up at 7:30am to hit the slopes before everyone else (when you stay at the Westin, you get a special pass to use the lifts at 7:45am versus when it opens to the public at 8:30am). Well, that’s pretty early for a Sunday but we managed to make it to the gondola at about 8am, however, it seemed they were letting any and everyone on; the line was huge! Regardless, we eventually got on and did a couple of runs.
On our third time up, on a different chair lift, we ended up being stuck on the stop-and-go lift for 45 minutes. It was awful as it was freezing rain and so cold. When we finally got to the summit, we were chilled to the bone so inside we went for a couple hot chocolates. After that, we rode down, packed up and headed home in horrible freezing rain driving.
When we got home I whipped up a couple sandwiches: BLT with garlic sauce for Marco and a tomato/avocado with hummus for myself.
Also, this happened. Gah. I broke two nails this weekend, one each day and I’m not even sure how but it’s the third nail in four ski trips so…

…I, sadly, decided to remove my acrylics at home. I was planning on having them filled this week but as we are planing to ski frequently over the coming months, I figured it’s best to go back au natural, for now at least. I loved having the long nails, it was a fun change however Marco is happy I’ve taken them off. On that note, I did film a video on how to remove your acrylics at home which I will share as soon as I get it edited together.
Sunday easy dinner: tilapia with Caribbean fish spices, quinoa & fresh beets.
